i have 3M ones but I only use if I'm doing work that will kick up dust (cleaning stove, sweeping garage, leaf blower, etc) and not for fear of catching something. they do a hell of a job keeping dust out of your system so I'm sure the more advanced ones, like N95, are pretty sold for getting sneezed on. Truly though you should wear protective eye gear in addition to the mask if you're that concerned. Not only does it keep you from touching your eyes a lot but if someone coughs it prevents the transmission through your eyes
